The Braves took out Pac-[5/7/8] contending Eagles for the 3rd consecutive year, and Cabrillo won the Willis Cup on the road versus the Saints.

Arroyo Grande at Lompoc

Lompoc seemed fully in control, leading 20-3, but consecutive successful onside kicks in the 4th gave the Eagles a shot. Lompoc scored on two short Torey Sims runs (5y, 7y) and a FSW Top Play Darius Dunson reception of a 35y Sims pass.

JV: Arroyo Grande 21 at Lompoc 14
The Eagles struck first, scoring on a 1yd plunge to cap a long drive on the the initial possession of the contest. The Braves answered with what looked like it was going to be a grind-it-out drive, but was finished when Jacob Wong broke free down the right (west) side for 46yds and a TD.
The teams exchanged pairs of punts (Lompoc) and fumbles (AG), before the Eagles broke through with a 34yd screen pass TD on 4th down. The EP attempt was wide, and Lompoc promptly responded.
The Braves marched down the field and scored on a 29yd TD throw from OB Kameron Davis to Ben Odom. Peter Esparza booted through his second successful PAT to put the locals up 14-13. The teams traded fumbles to end the half.
Punt, fumble, fumble, pick, punt, punt, pick - the defenses controlled the 3rd and most of the 4th periods. Unfortunately for the Huyck Stadium faithful, the last pick was by the Eagles. It set up a short drive and a 3yd plunge by Cameron Johnston followed by a 2PT run by Johnston with 5:19 remaining.
Lompoc subsequently punted on 4th & 9 with 2:16 left and AG was able to burn the clock.
Frosh (Thur): Lompoc 21 at Arroyo Grande 35
The Braves fumbled 4 times, including twice after entering the 4th quarter tied at 21 all. According to the staff, QB Xavier Nix had about 200yds. Cesar Garcia led the defense from his DL spot.
Cabrillo at Santa Maria

The Conquistadores scored first, but Santa Maria answered quickly. The Saints missed the extra point however, and it would cost them. Cabrillo was up 21-13 with less than 1/2 a minute remaining, when SM scored. Since a PAT would still leave them short, they went for the 2-pointer but could not convert it.
