 Multi-Sport Complex

The City of Lompoc is considering a proposal to develop a 37 acre multi-sport recreational complex on a 82 acre City owned parcel adjacent to the Allan Hancock College Lompoc Center, currently partially utilized by Ken Adam Park.

The complex, directly accessible off of Hwy 1, includes a adventure area with ropes course and zip-line, baseball/softball, football, and soccer fields, a kids playground and would have dining, restrooms, and extensive parking.

As envisioned, the complex's day/night, all-weather facillity features include:

*4 Baseball/Softball fields including a collegiate sized one with a stadium (150 person capacity), announcers booth, and batting cages. A concession stand and restrooms centrally located. (Adaptable to up to 4 soccer fields).

*A large football-capable stadium field with concrete bleachers for 450 people. (adaptable to 1 large or 2 small soccer fields) with support structures and restrooms.

*A two-story, 6900 sq. foot building next to the football facility with full-glass viewing areas overlooking the stadium, valley, skydiving, and VAFB launch sites.

Top Floor - A Dining facility with an additional outdoor patio area/observation deck, and restrooms, office space.

Ground Floor - Locker Rooms, Office space, Restrooms, Storage.

*3 Large (225' x 330')Soccer Fields (convertible to as many as 6 small 225' x 150' soccer fields)

* At the south end, a 1.5 acre "Children's Play Environment" with separate areas for 2-5,5-8 & 8-12 yearolds, 'tot lot', splash pad, restrooms, and a shelter shade area.

Perhaps, they could even include some pic-nic/BBQ areas in this portion or other areas of the park.

* An adventure course area with ropes course an a zip-line. The ropes course would be at the north end of the complex, with the zip-line on pylons mounted north to south along the undeveloped ravine on the west side of the property.

* Hundreds of parking spaces (479), with possible additional parking at AHC.
