Boys Basketball

Righetti 54, at Dos Pueblos 51
Trailing 47-40 with less than 4 minutes remaining the Warriors tied it at 47, and then rode the see-saw to the end. Using a combination of Brown 3-pointers and McMorris FT they were able to close the game out, but it wasn't easy.

Cruz Mertens hit his 7th trey of the evening to draw the Chargers to within one (52-51), and fouled McMorris to stop the clock with 7 ticks left. He drained both, and DP missed a three at the buzzer. Righetti had a 22-11 advantage in the 4th quarter.

Warriors [3-1]: Cameron Walker 15, Landon Brown 15 (5x3), Marcus McMorris 14.

Boys Soccer

at Santa Maria 4, Orcutt Academy 1 [STORY]
Santa Maria came out of gate with a scoring flurry, and then spent the next hour in a holding pattern. Spartan Adrian Gallo was transported by ambulance due to an apparent neck injury.

Spartans [0-1]: Angel Gall 1 Goal.

Channel Islands 4, at San Marcos 2
The Royals were out-scored 2-1 in each half. Six different players accounted for the 6 goals in the game.

Pacifica 1, at  Dos Pueblos 0
The Tritons scored on a pinballed corner kick. The Chargers fall to 2-4.

Santa Barbara 3, Moorpark 0
The Dons won 3-0 for the second straight game, with one in the 1st half and 2 in the second half.

According to the Cate Athletics website, this highly anticipated match has been Cancelled.

The Cardinal ran the lead to 3-0 with 2 in the 1st half and one in the 2nd, before the Oaks tallied one.

Girls Soccer

Santa Maria 2, at Orcutt Academy 2 [Tie]
The Saints puts themselves in a 1st half hole with 2 own-goals, and though they dominated the 2nd half, did no better than pulling even.

Girls Water Polo

at Cate 20, Channel Islands 2
Rams [1-0]: Goals - Caroline Montgomery 6, Maddie Schrager 5, Sophie Maes 2, Anna Satterfield 2, Anna Lueck 2. Lane Bhutani tended the net for the first time in her career for Cate.
