While Cabrillo was in the Central Valley, the Lompoc guys headed south to Orange County. This was another very large meet, with participants competing in two major sized-based divisions. The 37 Division 1 teams included several SoCal powerhouses and 13 schools from out of state - Lompoc, and Orcutt Academy, joined 44 other squads in Div 2.

There were 7 D2 races: Boys - Frosh, Soph, JV, Varsity; Girls - Frosh/Soph, JV, Varsity. Lompoc only had runners in three, the Spartans in four.

The Braves only had a team score in the varsity race, but had a very creditable performance in the frosh competition.
