C.J. Simmons Key Player at Santa Rosa JC
Having heard little, OK-- nothing, about C.J. SIMMONS, Mr. En Fuego took action and e-mailed SRJC hoops coach Craig McMillan. Here's the scoop directly from the coach.
"C.J. has been an integral part of our team this season. He has been in our eight or nine-man rotation the entire year and has improved in all aspects of the game.
"He is currently our first perimeter sub and often plays 25 to 30 minutes a game. He brings a lot of energy and defensive hustle and has been shooting well from 3-point range.
"C.J. is averaging 5 ppg and shooting 42% from the 3-point line. He is getting two assists and is averaging one turnover per game.
"Our team is currently tied for third place in the big 8 conference which is recognized as one of the top, if not the top, conference in the state. We have two league games left and hopefully the playoffs."
