Shane Sorenson (SY) gets her Athlete of the Week moment with Jason Orr of KSBY-TV

Female Athlete of the Week 

Shane Sorenson, Santa Ynez Tennis

Sorenson moved into the #1 singles spot this season and has constantly delivered. Last week was no exception - she only dropped 4 games in an 18-0 blanking of Templeton on Tuesday, and triple bageled Nipomo in a 16-2 win on Thursday. The Pirates are 9-0 so far in Los Padres League competition.

Male Athlete of the Week  

Miguel Carlos, Santa Maria Football

Carlos had 20 carries for 115 yards and a TD to help lead the Saints to their 1st victory of the season, a 27-6 win on the road at Hueneme.
