It was a bit odd Monday at Giovanni's in Orcutt. Neither AOTW was able to be present to accept their awards, although Luas Sheckherd was able to stop by briefly. He had to leave early due to other other obligations, and Sarah Fouratt was competing in a CIF Playoff match in Oxnard.

Never-the-less, an excellent time was had by most attendees - Including 2 GVB players from VCA who stopped for fro-yo on the way and then won the drawing to pay for it.

Female Athlete of the Week 

Sarah Fouratt at the VCC, during a double dual match with Lompoc & Cabrillo

Sarah Fouratt, Righetti Girls Golf

Sarah shot an 18-hole round 79 last Thursday at Dairy Creek Golf Course (SLO) to win the Pac-8 League Finals and clinch the Individual Championship. Her consistent scoring also helped the Warriors finish as runners-up to SLO in both the Finals Tourney and the Championship.

The Righetti freshman competed Monday (27 Oct) at CIF-SS Northern Divisional at the River Ridge Course (Oxnard) and carded a 75 to qualify for the CIF-SS Finals next Thurs in Chino Hills, 


[LPL Champ Cynthia Navis (Nipomo) shot a 6-over 78 in to also qualify for the Finals].

Lucas Sheckherd (above left), Righetti Boys Water Polo

Lucas was a primary factor in 3 Warrior Wins last week, tallying 13 goals. The top-ranked squad in CIF-SS Division 4, the Warriors (18-3) blew out Ventura (18-7, Monday) and Pac-8 foe Pioneer Valley (22-1, Wednesday) on the road, before edging D2 power Santa Barbara (11-10, Thursday) at home.

Sheckherd scored 3, 5, and 5 goals respectively in the wins, in addition to generally excellent play overall.
