It was a festive Saturday at Paisola Pavillion as the Cabrillo girls celebrated a win, a 3-0 start to the season, and Brittany McCune's Birthday !!!

Cabrillo completed an undefeated run at the BAC with a pair of wins Friday afternoon and Saturday morning.

World Baseball Classic

Danny Duffy (CHS grad), a starting pitcher for the Kansas City Royals has accepted an offer to play for Team USA in the upcoming WBC.

The United States opener is against Colombia [Miami, 10 March 10 2017].

Lavon Coleman / Washington

The Washington Huskies (12-1, # 4 CFP) defeated # 9 Colorado 41-10 in the Pac-12 championship game Friday night. Lavon Coleman (LHS grad) had a short TD run for the game's first touchdown. He had 18 carries for 101 yards and the touchdown.

The win earned Washington its first conference title since 2000 and a College Football Playoff bid. They are slated to play #1 Alabama at 3pm on 31 Dec 2016 at the Peach Bowl in Atlanta.

XC/Foot Locker West Regional Cross Country Championships
at Mt. San Antonio College, Walnut, CA

Callum Bolger (San Luis Obispo HS), winner of the CIF Division 4 championship, finished 6th among the top 236 runners from California, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, Utah, Nevada and New Mexico on Saturday to qualify for national championship race

Bolger traversed the 5,000-meter course in 15:45.9, 17 seconds behind race winner Talon Hull of Ogden, Utah. 

The top 10 from each of four regions (West, Midwest, Northeast, South) compete in the national championships on 10 Dec 16 at Balboa Park in San Diego.
