Santa Maria at Lompoc
Lompoc 51, Santa Maria 7 [STORY]
1st half - Running Braves 2nd half - Running Clock
The offense was not real busy. Lompoc had 8 possessions in the 1st half, and ran 17 plays from scrimmage. A Sack (-7 yds), a knee (-1 yd), and 2 incomplete passes accounted for 4 of those 17 plays. The other 13 gained 317 yards (24.38 average) and 6 TDs (Austin Hayes run, Richard Foster reception, A.J.Flores run, Mitchell reception, Derrick Portis run, Gage Buckley run - but he also threw both TD passes).
Throw in a 52 yd Richard Foster Punt Return TD, an A.J. Flores Safety, add some stout defense and this one was over by halftime.
The Saints scored on a 28 yard Dominique Garrett pass Marco Manzo. Manzo broke a tackle after catching a short throw. More scores, etc. Here

Los Padres League Tournament #5
(Village Country Club, Vandenberg Village) [Front9, Par-36]
Cabrillo were the hosts on Thursday, but they didn't much feel like sharing. The Conqs took most of the prizes, with Gaby Baumgardener taking Medalist honors and the team capturing the tourney championship. The team also, baring a complete collapse next week, have successfully defended their LPL title from last year.
Lily Keogh, Morro Bay |
Morro Bay diverged from the usual order of things in this seasons tourneys by nipping Santa Ynez by a point for 3rd in this event, but the Pirates remain in 3rd place in the LPL race.
Lily Keogh, as she has done quite often, led the 'Rock' Pirates, posting a 52.
