Cabrillo flipped the script against Nipomo at Monarch Dunes, while Lompoc & Santa Ynez hit the replay button at Alisal.

The Pirates prevailed on a day that started out quite nice, if a bit warm, but turned into a rather blustery afternoon. The wind, which the girls had to play directly into on the last 3 holes, was worse than the last pair of contests at La Purisima.

Medalist - Mackenzee Chambers 51. Playing in the last group today, Chambers Parred the first two holes and held on to upend Kayla Fullmer (52) & Jin Ai Jones (54) of the Pirates who were in the 1st foursome out.

Lompoc was without the services of usual varsity player Sarandon Vickery.

A pair of JV players were able to finish. Lompoc's Maria Curiel carded a 69 in her 1st visit to Alisal and Jamie Carricaburu (SY) shot a 66 on her home course.

Cabrillo vs Nipomo

The Cabrillo girls shot a team low for a Par-36 course, toppling the Titans by 4 strokes on their own curcuit. They had lost last Thursday's LPL Tournament at Alisal to Nipomo by an identical 4 stroke margin.

The victory gives Cabrillo a 1 point lead for the LPL crown. Each team has a league dual match next Monday, as well as two LPL tournaments left on the schedule. Lompoc hosts the Conqs & Nipomo travels to Morro Bay on Monday. The remaining tourneys are at the Village Country Club (Cabrillo's home) this Thursday & back visiting the Titans at Monarch Dunes a week later.
