BOYS WATER POLO

Los Padres League

Lompoc vs Morro Bay

at the City of Lompoc Aquatic Center
[Wiil be able to post some video later]

A smattering of fans at the COLAC were treated to a relatively rare occurrence in recent area water polo contests - competitive games between evenly matched teams.

Varsity
Morro Bay 7, Lompoc 6
[MB 1,1,1,4-7  L 0,1,3,2-6]

The Braves had chances. They had quite a few steals/turnovers, but couldn't convert on 4 player advantage situations, found the post too often, and had several mental lapses down the stretch. While the offense sputtered at times, senior Phoenix Herrigel was masterful in the net.

Pirates [2-5,1-2]: Goals - Levi Krull 3, Ricardo Valobra 3, Rayden Nrodati. Goalkeeping -Hiram Burrus.

Braves [1-4,0-3]: Goals - Andrew Waite 2, Brandon Weiz 2, Jarred Torres, Humberto Bobadillo. Goalkeeping - Phoenix Herrigel.

Note: No Goaltending stats were readily available, but Burris likely had 7-8 saves, while Herrigel was in the 12-14 range.

Lompoc 4, Morro Bay 2
[MB 0,1,0,1-2  L 0,1,0,3-4]
