It was a tough day for the Pirates who did well and got beat by the Royals anyway, while another pair of Royal groups were thumped by Eagles.

at the River Course (Front 9 - Par 36)

The Pirates played well, led by a career best 49 from Gracie Church, they posted the best SY team score shot in 4 years at the River Course. Alas, San Marcos had 5 scorers in the 40's and not many area teams are ever going to beat that kind of consistency.

Arroyo Grande had to come from behind in game 1, hold on in game 2, and then closed out the Royals. Part of the reason for the slow start may be that - Zoe Paulsen is out for the season with a broken ankle.

St Joe was short on players and had to play 2 novice freshmen, Santa Maria has 8 experienced seniors.
