Masson Blow Nominated '08 Athlete of the Year

MASSON BLOW, Lompoc's first CIF wrestling champion in 24 years, has been nominated for Lompoc Locker Room's Athlete of the Year poll.

Blow, who wrestled at 152 pounds for Lompoc High, was named the North County Athletic Round Table’s North County Male Athlete of the Year. In wrestling he qualified for the state wrestling meet by finishing fourth among 30 at the CIF-Southern Section Masters Tournament. He returned to action in the spring with the Brave track team.

I would like to second or add a vote for Masson. It is not very often we have local talent who excels in several sports. Masson has been a big help in raising funds for Special OPlympics through the Lompoc Police Car Show.
Good Luck Masson,
Harry Heidt
