NSBCART Luncheon 14 October 2013


NSBCART 

The Northern Santa Barbara County Athletic Roundtable assembled a group of the top area athletes at Giovanni's in Orcutt for pizza and other rewards. This week the focus was on Football, Boys Water Polo, and Girls Tennis.

The Male Athlete of the Week Award 
Clayton Hanley, Santa Ynez, Football

Hanly destroyed the SY record book Friday night recording 8.5 Sacks & 10 Tackles for loss in a 40-14 win over Santa Maria. It was one of the best performances in CA football history. 

The Female Athlete of the Week Award 
Ariel Johnston, Santa Ynez, Girls Volleyball  [Not Present]

Johnston had an outstanding defensive performance in a contest for 1st place in the LPL against Templeton on Thursday. The Pirates completed the first league round with a 6-0 record, while handing the Eagles their initial non-tournament loss of the season. 

Templeton took the 2nd & 3rd sets of the match, but in the 4th &5th couldn't get the ball down past Johnston who finished with 21 digs, 21 service receptions, and 3 aces. She also had 12 service points and 12 digs against Morro Bay on Tuesday.
