This week Lompoc is at Pacifica (Oxnard), Cabrillo plays Santa Ynez & Morro Bay in LPL play (see daily posts) and both send squads to the Cabrillo JV tourney on the weekend. Meanwhile, many area teams are at the Jim Bayshore Holiday Cage Classic (Carpinteria), and MCP Christmas Classic (SLO).

It was a rough pair of days for the LPL schools & BD versus the Pac-7. Each of the 4 Pac-7 schools went 3-0, the others were all 0-3.

Lompoc got off to a slow start and never recovered. The teams posted identical point totals in each of the last two quarters, but by then it was too late. The Brave offense only tallied 4 in the 1st, and while they greatly improved in the second, their defense fell apart. PV hit 12 FGs in the 2nd - including 4 treys.
Additional bad news for the Braves was the loss of Trevon Ross to a lower leg injury after he put up 14 points to lead the Braves.

The good news for the Titans was that they doubled the Knights point production in the final period. The bad news was that it was by a 4-2 margin after St Joe already had a 66-13 advantage.

[SLO 9,14,13,2 - 38 BD 2,6,4,13 - 25]
It wasn't as close as the score might indicate. With 5:36 remaining in the 4th, SLO led 36-14. They cleared the bench, pulled in their horns, and were outscored 11-2 the rest of the way, but the outcome was never in doubt.

Up 38-18 after 3, AG put it in neutral and coasted in to the finish. Cabrillo scored half their points in the 4th against the bench, going 9-2 in the final 3:46.
