There were Black/Blue contests in Volleyball and Tennis, Girls from both schools were at the League finals in Golf, and some Pac-8 Polo.
The big news for the tennis types was that Santa Ynez managed a 1 game victory over the OA Spartans, handing them their first loss in the LPL and setting up a dandy on Thursday. Both Cabrillo and Orcutt will head into that contest with 12-1 LPL records for a winner-take-all showdown at Hancock.

LPAL Individual Finals*
at the Village Country Club, Vandenberg Village (18 holes, Par-72)
The LPL changed the competition set-up for this season. In prior campaigns, each team played a series of round-robin dual matches against each other LPL foe and hosted one of the weekly nine hole tournaments. A league Champion was determined based on overall scoring average.
This fall the format was modified. The round-robin was kept, but tournaments were reduced to a total of three 9-holers for the team title plus a 18 hole 'Individual Championship'.
The 24 players with the best scoring averages in the required number of rounds over the course of the dual matches and team tournaments qualified for the Individual Finals.
The Championship would go to the player with the lowest combined score in the "5 tournaments" - the Final counting as two. The top 14 are deemed All-League.
Also, per CIF-SS selection protocols, the top 4 advance to the Southern Section Individual Championship in Oxnard (River Ridge Golf Course) on Monday at 8 am.

Arroyo Grande won their 7th consecutive PAC 8 title with a 10-8 triumph over San Luis Obispo on Tuesday. Lily Bickmore (11) played with three different partners at #3 doubles, but it was her collaboration with Natalie Porter (10) to take the 9th point that did the trick - clinching both the match and the Championship. It was there first ever competition set together.
