Two of the newer coaches in the Pac-8, Charlie Koertge (Righetti,1st year) and
Nikki Doyle (Pioneer Valley, 2nd year) both were focused on improvement this year. Dolye was pleased with the attitude and effort of her squad, while Koertge was disappointed that his girls hard work was likely going to be negated by a pre-season coin flip.
The Warriors and Greyhounds tied for the PAC-8's final automatic qualifying berth, and split the 2 head-to-head contests. The tiebreaker is the coin flip, although Coach Koertge would like to see it changed to total sets head-to-head.
