Jackson Pitches El Camino To Mission Title

In Torrance Saturday night BOO JACKSON (pictured) had a stellar game as state defending champion El Camino College wrapped up the Mission Conference title with a 59-45 victory over Fullerton.

Jackson connected on 21 of 34 passes for a whopping 322 yards and five touchdowns. He also ran for another score. He was intercepted once. It was his biggest yardage output of the season.

“We knew we had to come out strong out of the gate,” Jackson told the Torrance Daily Breeze. “Our defense has been stepping up for us the last couple of games, but this week we had to step up for the defense.”

Jackson’s scoring passes went for 17 and 37 yards in the first half and 11, 24, and 27 in the second. His scoring run came from six yards out. He ran eight times for 32 yards but he was sacked three times for 14.

Not only does the victory give the Warriors the MC title with a 6-0 record, but a chance to host the first game of the playoffs next weekend as Moorpark comes to visit.

Jackson’s stats at the end of the regular season show him leading the conference with a 189.5 quarterback efficiency rating. He has thrown for 23 TD’s and been intercepted just four times. His completion percentage is 64.6 on 124 completions in 192 tries. His yardage total is 2047 for 10.66 yards per attempt.
