The Braves continue to struggle with co-operation and communication. The warriors got 2 in the 1st half, and  two late in the 2nd.

After taking a 3-0 1st half lead, the Braves began to substitute their way down to general playing equivalency with the visitors. Lompoc had goals by Peter Esparza, Brandon Nunez, and Johnathan Nunez.

After a scoreless 1st half, Cabrillo got on the board with a Eduardo Cardenas (Stephan Dalton) goal. But then they gave up 2 goals in the last 8 minutes to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Raul Munoz (Oscar Munoz) hit the first, and Christian Marino followed up 3 minutes later. Michael Lowes has 6 saves for Cabrillo and Aaron Friedman had 5 for Righetti. The JV fell 1-0.

B.  1st Annual San Marcos Boys Soccer Invitational  

GROUP A
San Clemente 3-0, Santa Barbara 2-1, Hueneme 1-2, Righetti 0-3.

GROUP B    
Golden Valley 3-0, Capo Valley 2-1, San Marcos 1-2, Santa Maria 0-3

Both the Saints and the Warriors stepped up a notch or two in weight-class in this tourney, but the Saints beat the cross-town Warriors in the 7th Place game 2-0. Righetti was held scoreless for the tournament, only managed 3 goals.

Not only the Dons initial loss of the year, but their 1st goal allowed. They were 4-0 with a 14-0 goal advantage entering the contest.

3:00: 3rd Place: Santa Barbara 2, D1#8 Capo. Valley 0
The game was shortened to 30 minute halves, due to the cumulative injuries by both squads.

It was the 1st win of the season for the Royals. Four different goal-scorers struck in the 2nd half.

This was the kind of game one would expect of two ranked teams. After a score-less 1st half, SLO (#4 D3) fell behind early in the 2nd, but roared back. They got their eventual game winner from Brady Candaele's second goal (off a corner kick) and then held off a late Pirate (#5 D5) challenge.
