Cabrillo was at the Nordhoff Tournament, Lompoc played a Varisity/JV exibition on Saturday, and several LPL and PAC-7 teams were at the H.I.T. in Morro Bay. Several of the more recent games are information deficient. This will be corrected as more current info becomes available.

34th Harding Invitational Tournament [16]

Independence (Bakersfield) defeated 3 PAC-7 teams by a total of 6 points (SLO 3, Atas. 2, AG 1) en route to winning the tournament. Moorpark  faced 4 PAC-7 teams - finishing 3-1. The hosts, Morro Bay, were a quite respectable 3-1, with 3 close wins.

Thursday, 29 November 2012 [Pool Play]
Morro Bay 62, Archbishop Carney (Brit. Columbia) 58
New head coach Mike Godsey's debut was a happy one, albeit one with a few anxious moments. If it helps any, Carney is from Port Coquitlam, BC. Ok, so it doesn't. It's located about 20 miles east of Vancouver and 20 miles north of the USA/CAN border.
Pirates: Xavier Alfaro 18 pts, Zach Smith 17, Frank Molina 10, Elijah Ford 12 rebounds.

Arroyo Grande 61, Moorpark 48
The 2011 PAC-7 Champs rolled the Musketeers, due, in part, to 9 3-pointers.
Eagles: Brennan Rivera 19 pts (2x3), Matt Wilkomm 13 (3x3), Carson Wack 11 (3x3).

Independence 49, San Luis Obispo 46
The Tigers couldn't stop guard Isaac Clark. The junior poured in 22 points.

Santa Maria 64, North Bakersfield 46
The Saints added to their lead in every quarter - hitting 83 %  (20 of 29) of their FT's didn't hurt.
Saints: Shemarr Parker 14 pts (8-11 FT), Devon Brock 11,  Jayson Abayon 7 (2x3).

Tamalpais 52, Atascadero 46
The Jackson Floum show came to Morro Bay Thurday night. The Hawks senior was 4-6 from 2pt range, 3-4 from outside the circle and 4-4 from the charity stripe. He also had 9 rebounds, 2 blocks, 2 steals, and a deflection. The Greyhounds actually erased a 2 point 1st period deficit to lead by a point (21-20) at halftime, but the Hawk had a monster 3rd quarter (20-8) and held off A-town in the fourth.

Fallbrook 54, Pioneer Valley 36
The Panthers were only down 3 points (23-20) at halftime, but Fallbrook surged 10-4 to start the 3rd and hit their FT's down the stretch.

Escondido 75, Paso Robles 45
The Cougars were up 10 (17-7) after one, 16 at the half (41-25), and then got serious.  They outscored the El Paso 19-8 coming out of the locker room , and coasted in the fourth.
Bearcats:  Jaylon Davis 16 pts (3x3), Rudy Binkele 13.

Friday, 30 November 2012 [Pool Play]
Morro Bay 56, North (Bak.) 53
Tied at 53 all with 7 seconds remaining, Elijah Lampley hit the bucket and the foul to give the Pirates an old-fashioned three-pointer and the game. Xavier Alfaro had 11 3rd Quarter points to get them back in the game.
Pirates: Xavier Alfaro 19 pts (3x3), Luke Munds 14, Zach Smith 10.

Escondido 73, Pioneer Valley 27
[E: 19, 18, 29, 7 - 73  PV: 7, 10, 4, 6 - 27]
I don't know what Cougar Head Coach tells 'em at halftime, but they have out-paced Atascadero and Pioneer Valley 48-12 combined in the 3rd period of back-to-back games.

Moorpark 72, Paso Robles 31
[M: 12,24,15,21 - 72  PR: 6,3,16,6 - 31]
Just a good old-fashioned, um, blow-out. The Bearcats made an effort after the main break, but it was not nearly enough.

Heritage Christian 71, Santa Maria 70
[HC: 17,16,16,22 SM:16,18,18,18-70]
Nipped at the end, but only collected 16 boards and shot 9-19 (47%)from the line - 1-6 from the line, plus missed some layups at the finish.
Saints: JT Simkins 18; Shermarr Parker 12 (3x3), Jayson Abayon 10 (3x3); Gerardo Coria 10.

Independance 70, Atascadero 68
The Greyhounds rallied from 10 points down, only to see a 3-point winner bounce off the back iron at the buzzer.
Greyhounds: Robbie Berwick 11pts, 6 rbds, 6 asst: Bryan O'Connell 15 pts, 7 rbs: Joe Johnson 14 pts, 3 steals; Jared Sudemamm 11 pts, 6 rbs; Brady Youngquist 12 pts.

Arroyo Grande 49, Fallbrook 39
Eagles: Matt Wilkomm 13 pts (3x3), Brennan Rivera 9, Dylan Bingham 7.

San Luis Obispo 49, Tamalpais 31
The Tigers and the Red-Tailed Hawks were even in the 2nd & 3rd quarters (19 each), but SLO outscored the visitors 15-4 in the 1st, and 15-8 in thr 4th.

3rd place: Arroyo Grande 75, Heritage Christian 52
[AG: 5, 26, 26, 18 - 75   HC: 17, 13, 13, 9 - 52]
Perhaps suffering a bit of a hangover from the morning game, the Eagles apparently didn't show up in the 1st, but then blew out the Warriors.
Eagles: Cobe Williams 14pts; Matt Wilkomm 13 pts (4x3), 6 asst; Andrew Midyatt 11 pts, 12 rbs; Carson Wack 12 pts (2x3).
