Girls Water Polo
There were two Girls Water Polo Tournaments this weekend involving significant numbers of Central Coast teams - the Mistletoe Classic in the Conejo Valley & and the Santa Maria Tournament.

Teams (22) were initially divided into 6 pools, 4 with 4 & 2 with 3.
Pool A [NP] - Cresenta Valley, Righetti, Notre Dame (SO), Moorpark
Pool B [NP] - Newbury Park, El Segundo, Nordhoff, Pacifica
Pool C [TO] - Thousand Oaks, Rio Mesa, Buena, Atascadero
Pool D [TO] - Harvard-Westlake, Cabrillo, Malibu
Pool E [W] - Ventura, Louisville, Camarillo, Calabasas
Pool F [W] - Westlake, Oxnard, Santa Ynez.
4 Team Pools:The first listed team played the the fourth listed team & the 2nd and 3rd listed team played each other. Then winners of those games played each other as did the losers.
3 Team Pools: Each team played the other two.

The 6 1st place teams went to Newbury Park and were divided into two new pools G (1sts from A,C,E) & H (1sts from B,D,F). They played for 1st-6th places.
Second place teams went to TO and were split into Pools J (A,C,E) & K (B,D,F) to contest 7th-12th.
Third place teams were placed in Pools L (A,C,E) & M (B,D,F) at Westlake and played for 13th-18th. The 4 4th place teams constituted Pool N and played at various sites in the 4-team format above to determine 19th-22nd place.
Each of the new 3 team pools had round-robin play (each team against the other two) followed by a final placement game versus the team from the other paired pool that finished in the same position they did.
