The Varsity CCT for the guys is completed, the gals have 2 more games left. The Nipomo JV tourney for the guys is also finished.
Central Coast Tournament
The Central Coast Tournament is a bit of polite fiction. It is, technically, a tournament, but there is none of the usual tourney accoutrements. Mostly it consists of the LPL and Pac-7 playing each other.
Its primary purpose is to allow area teams teams to play additional non-league games without having to travel long distances - well, longer distances. It also lets coaches evaluate their teams against some common/similar opponents to what their league rivals are playing.
Generally the games are played on Tuesdays & Thursdays over the course of two weeks early in the season, but there are several outliers this year.
This season it includes 16 teams:
Boys - the Pac-7, the LPL, Coast Union and Mission Prep.
Girls - the Pac-7, the LPL (except Santa Maria), Orcutt Academy, Coast Union, and Mission Prep.
