The Lompoc Locker Room 'Peoples Choice' balloting has returned the same verdict as the LLR Select Panel-- absolutely, definitively and without a doubt the CIF champion Cabrillo girls water polo team is the Team of the Year in 2007.
The team which opened the month of March with a victory over Arroyo Grande in the CIF title game, the one which featured three all-stars in SARAH UR, KATHRYN NELSON, and ASHLEY SMITH, is also the one which sportswriters, broadcasters and officials, and the general public all agree was the best in the Lompoc Valley regardless of gender, age and sport.
