Cabrillo & LPL CIF

Anrianna Siefe (Pictured) and Alena Taber again swept to help the Conqs to a 17-1 victory over the Highland (Palmdale) Saints.

The Conquistadores faced CIF Competition in three different sports today, as well as facing off against Lompoc in the Annual Taco Bell Cheerleader Challange. Tennis hosted Highland (Palmdale) on the hill, Water Polo faced San Dimas downtown at the COLAC, Volleyball got to take the bus ride to Cajon, and the Cheerleaders traveled to the Coast Hills Credit Union parking lot temporarily known as "Chalupa-ville".

This one wasn't close either. The Saint's Emmanuel Perushav collected the first goal, but that was the San Dimas high point. Cabrillo scored the final three of the initial period, and the first 5 of the 2nd quarter, for an 8-1 lead. It was 10-2 at halftime and, although the Saints scored a pair to start the 3rd, 14-5 heading into the 4th. San Dimas had no answer to Emmitt Hill who tallied one goal in the first, and 3 each in the 2nd and 3rd periods.

Conqs : Goals - Emmitt Hill 7, Marcus Thiele 3, Aaron Hay 2, Nick Hines, Anthony Taylor.
Saints : Goals - Isaac Reneyso 2, 6 players with one each.

With the win the Conquistadors advance to the 1st Round and travel to meet the Cajon Cowboys on Thursday. Hopefully, they have more success than the girls did against the Cowboys in Tuesday's volleyball match-up.
