NCAA Football
Boo Jackson
(Lompoc HS 2005) quarterbacked the Ohio University Bobcats (8-3, 6-1 Mid-American Conference) to their seventh straight win - a 31-23 win at Temple. The "Boo-cats" added to their 17-10 halftime advantage with a pair of TD drives to go up 31-10 amid intermittent, but torrential rain in Philadelphia.

The Owls wouldn't give up, however. They scored a TD mid-way through the 4th quarter, then successfully claimed an onside kick. Ohio appeared to ice the game a few plays later with an interception, but gave the ball back by fumbling on the ensuing play.

Temple scored again, but missed the extra point, and messed up the following onside kick. Ohio ran three plays into the line, and punted with 10 seconds remaining. Temple went all out on the block attempt, and with nobody back to cover the kick, the ball kept rolling 'till time expired.

Ohio can clinch the MAC Eastern Division Championship with a Nov. 26 victory over Kent State or a Miami (Ohio) loss.
