Jenna Daley and Devan McCune were happy to represent Cabrillo Basketball at the Luncheon.

Chad Brodhead, Cabrillo Basketball faces the media after being named Male Athlete of the Week 


January 13th, 2014

Chad Brodhead, Cabrillo Boys Basketball
Has led the Conqs to a 4-0 record in the LPL. Scored 26 points in a 67-59 home victory over Lompoc Wednesday night and 25 in a 64-57 road win at Templeton on Friday.


Righetti Water Polo: Hailey Garza, Kaybree Albright.

Kaybree Albright, Righetti Girls Water Polo  
Scored 22 goals and nabbed 12 steals in 5 games at the Arroyo Grande Tournament over the weekend. Her best game was versus Costa Mesa on Saturday when she recorded 4 steals & 8 goals, including the game winner in sudden death overtime.


January 6th, 2014

Kaitlyn Flowers, St. Joseph Girls Basketball  
Had 24 points and played stellar help defense on Arroyo Grande post player Ashlyn Herlihy in the Knight's PAC-7 opening 55-44 win against the Eagles.

Cameron Walker, Righetti Boys Basketball  
In the Warriors 58-33 PAC-7 opening win over Paso Robles, Walker scored 24 points and 'caused havoc' on defense. He is averaging 24.5 point per game this season.

December 30th, 2013

Sarah Galiciano, Santa Maria Girls Basketball  
At the Righetti Tournament, Galiciano had 20 points in the Saints 62-44 take down of Santa Ynez. She then had 18 in a 55-44 victory over the host Warriors, including hitting 6-8 free throws in the final 1:58.

Luke Nichols, Valley Christian Academy Boys Basketball  
Was named tournament MVP at VCA's I-Charge Tournament. Nichols scored 26 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in the Lions first game. He followed that with 17points, 8 rebounds versus Pilgrim and a 28 point, 11 rebound game against Providence in the Championship.

December 23rd, 2013

Isabelle Rodriguez, Pioneer Valley Girls Soccer  
Helped lead the Panthers to the final of the Garces Tournament in Bakersfield. In the semi-final against San Joaquin Memorial, she had both PV goals to tie the game at 2-2 in regulation and scored on the last penalty kick in OT to enable the Panthers to advance.

Clayton Hanly, Santa Ynez Boys Wrestling  
The senior earned the Most Valuable Wrestler Award at the Channel Islands 10-Way Tournament (Dec. 21) by going 10-0 in the 220-pound weight class. He is 20-0 on the season.
