Despite having to replace almost the entire squad from last year, Cabrillo cruised at both levels in their season opener. The Panther girls were swamped, but never gave up.

Conquistadors [1-0]: Singles - #1 Rikki Patel 3-0 (6-1,6-1,6-0); #2 Emma Fienga 3-0 (6-0,6-2,6-1); #3 Kaeli Jones 3-0 (6-3,6-0,6-4).

Doubles- #1 Trista Trigueiro/Sydney Townes 3-0 (6-4,6-0,6-0); #2 Olivia Gore/Issy Sherman 3-0 (6-0,6-3,6-1); #3 Hope Huntington/Ashley Ledgerwood 2-0 (6-1,6-1); Hope Huntington/Brianna Ellison 1-0 (6-1).

The Pirates took this one from the Wildcats in the opener for both schools after a shaky start - surrendering 6 goals in the 1st quarter. They cut that to 3 in the 2nd, and held VP scoreless in the 2nd half.
