Annette Sousa
Back on September 3rd, when we requested a picture of her, Annette Sousa replied "Who Me?". She had just completed a sweep in singles against a pretty decent Braves line-up.
Last week she repeated the feat against 3 more opponents. Righetti played 3 straight 11-7 matches last week, losing to Santa Ynez on Tuesday, and defeating Paso Robles on Thursday & Santa Maria on Friday at the Fall Classic. Sousa was the most consistent factor, posting a 9-0 record in her sets[6-1,7-5,6-1;6-0,6-2,6-2;6-1,6-0,6-1].
She is very good with a racquet. She also does well with a microphone.

This award made NSBCART President Joni Grey quite happy. She remarked that when she attended Santa Maria High School, the football team "Won all the time." She was, of course, reminded that back then there were only "4 or 5 high schools in the county."
The Saints may not win all the time these days, but they won on Friday. The 50-3 defeat of Greenfield was Gabe Espinosa's 1st victory as a varsity Head Coach and was due in large part to the efforts of Quarterback Dominique Garrett.
He was the leading rusher for the Saints, running for 114 yards and a TD. He also completed 6 of 10 passes for 89 yards with 2 TD's and NO interceptions.
