After a week and a half of Fall Sports it was time to get the gang together at Giovanni's for some pizza and prizes.
Athletes Of The Week
Male: Vincent Martino.
Senior, St Joseph, Football.
Martino had a solid overall defensive game at DB Friday night that helped the Knights to a 42-7 win over Calvary Chapel. But he added the spectacular as well. He had two interceptions and caused a fumble - stripping the ball-carrier and returning the ball 3o yards for a touchdown.
Female: Melanie Johnson
Senior, Righetti, Golf.
Medalist in consecutive wins. Thursday - Shot an even-par 35 at Rancho Maria to lead the Warriors to a 229-244 victory over Cabrillo. Tuesday - Was the low scorer again, shooting 44 at a wind-swept La Purisima to topple Lompoc 279-329.
Lompoc's Chyanne Thomas won the $ 10.00 raffle.
