9th Annual Blind Golf Classic Nears

BLIND GOLF IS BACK
For the ninth straight year the greatest blind golfers in the world will soon be in Lompooc. The California Blind Golf Classic is right around the corner.

The blind championship competition will take place on Sunday and Monday when such talents as Bruce Hooper from San Antonio, the World B-2 champion, and Brian MacLeod, the perennial Canadian B-1 titleholder, will face off at the Village Country Club.

On Saturday, October 18 the blind golfers will tee up against the best Lompoc has to offer in mixed foursomes. You can sign up now by calling Howard Shaw at 735-1807.
Pictured here is Hooper, the defending B-2 champion, and his wife and coach Judy Hooper. The picture was taken by Mike Collins at last year's event.
