Lompoc's only remaining chance at a CIF playoff berth lies with Cabrillo which faces a must-win game next Friday against Morro Bay. With a victory the Conquistadores would saddle the Pirates with their third loss of the season and would hold the advantage should the two teams finish 4-3. Templeton, with Pioneer Valley and Nipomo remaining on the schedule, might end up 4-3 as well and the Eagles would have the edge over Cabrillo with tonight's victory. Morro Bay faces tough Pioneer in its finale. If Cabrillo, Templeton and Morro Bay all finish 4-3 the two playoff berths would be determined by chance.
