Just a couple quickies today -
TRACK / FIELD
Atascadero Memorial (Sat, 21 March 2009)
The Paso boys and the SLO girls both run off with the crowns in this one, which also provided a glimpse into the future of LPL competition with 4 of the 7 league schools participating.
The Lompoc squad recieved their best performance from sophomore Dillon Morgan who was 2nd in the Long Jump. Other top 10 individual finishes on the boys side were: Milton Royster 12 (8th, 100), Marcell Blow 10 (7th, 200), Jake Morehart 11 (6th, 110H), and freshman Eduardo Morales (7th, 3200).
A trio of girls led the Braves in that contest - Megan Wales 11 (4th, 400; 6th 110H; 5th, 300H), Ashley Fabing 11 (5th, 1600; 4th, 3200), and Kayla Fajardo 11 (4th, Disc; 12th ShP).

Baseball
Danny Duffy
The KC Royals are bringing Duffy along a bit faster this spring, thus far he has had outings of 1, 2, 3, and 3, innings and pitched well. Saturday he was scheduled to go four.
