CIF BASKETBALL AWARDS

BOYS
Three Santa Barbara County players were named to CIF Divisional hoops squads:
Div II-A: Santa Barbara senior Roberto Nelson was selected to an All-CIF squad for the fourth time. The Oregon St- bound Nelson was selected for the Div II-A 2nd team after leading the Dons to a 2nd place finish behind I-A semi-finalist Ventura.

Div IV-AA: Lompoc senior Jordan O'Byrne was named to the 2nd team after scoring 19.6 points and grabbing 7.1 rebounds per game to lead the Braves to a share of the League Title and the second round of the playoffs.

Div VI-AA: When Dunn declined its playoff spot, Laguna Blanca filled in by winning wild card and first round games, due in large part to junior Luther Tarver-Burks. He was named to the Div VI-AA 1st team.
GIRLS
The Girls side locally was dominated, not surprisingly, by St. Joseph who placed three girls and their coach on teams, including the Player of the Year.

Div V-AA:
Ane' McPike, F/G - Named Player of the Year, her 4th All-CIF Divisional level award in basketball.
Aly Beebe, Fr., 6-3 Center (13.8 ppg, team high 9.1 rpg) - 1st Team
Kelsi English, So., G/F (10 ppg, team high 3.4 apg) - 2nd Team

Ron Barba - Coach of the Year
Led team to Division Championship with 45-39 win over Serra.

Div V-A: Bishop Diego senior Jennifer Jimenez (10.7 ppg, 6.7 rpg) was named to the 2nd team, after she led the Cardinals to 2nd in the Frontier League and the 2nd round of the playoffs.
